A Study on the Morale of School Health Nurses in Seoul -Especially the Middle and High Schools-

Abstract

|
A Survey on school health nurses´ morale in Seoul was conducted in July 1976 for the period of one month, to recognize the present status of school health nurses´ morale, especially in the middle and high schools.
133 school health nurses of the secondary schools were selected for this study and method used for data collection was a questionnaire and replies obtained by mail.
57.4 per cent of the study population responded and returned the questionnaires. The main findings of this study were as follows.
1) Salary, Spare time, Interpersonal relation, Self-esteem were most positive aspects(means satisfaction).
2) Personnel administration, Work load, Working condition, Social status were the less positive aspects.
3) Mobility for promotion, Educational theory and practice were negative aspects(means dissatisfaction).
4) Responses were evenly divided about Budget management.
